A separate winery owned by Domaine Vistalba, Fabre Montmayou was established in 1992 in the Lujan de Cuyo region of Mendoza. An altitude of 1150 metres and an excellent ‘terroir’ combine to produce wines of exceptional quality. The wines are made from three existing, old vineyards, from Cabernet, Malbec, Merlot and Chardonnay.
The vineyards of Fabre Montmayou are run by Herve Joyaux-Fabre and his wife Diane Monheim. Fabre Montmayou Winery is the first non- industrial winery in the country, built by Hervé Joyaux Fabre following the style of the French chateaux. The enterprise is owned by Domaine Vistalba, a Bordeaux based company that invested in Argentina in 1992. They recognised the exceptional growing conditions that exist around Luján de Cuyo, in the Mendoza region where the vineyards are based.
