91 pts wine Advocate Issue #173 Oct 2007 The 2005 Chardonnay “Heytesbury” was partially wild yeast fermented along with partial malolactic fermentation. It was aged for 10 months in French oak. Light gold-colored, it offers an alluring perfume of toast, smoke, butter, hazelnuts, mineral, and tropical aromas. This leads to a medium-bodied, full-flavored Chardonnay with excellent depth and concentration. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.

Ripe in flavor, with a distinctly mineral-accented range of flavors, offering pineapple and tangerine notes against modest oak. Finishes with a zing of refreshing acidity. Drink now through 2011. 50 cases imported.
