The 2010 Steenberg ‘Private Cellar Series’ Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful example of a cool climate Sauvignon Blanc. The nose has a plethora of enticing aromatics, ranging from wet stone and lemon grass to capsicum (red pepper) and green fig to gooseberry fruit tones. The palate has good weight and depth, slightly creamy, with some tangy citrus flavors and a mineral vein pushing thru on the finish. This is pristine and stylish with good acidity and mid palate flesh. Enjoy this over the next couple of years to take advantage of its vibrancy and freshness.
