Secateurs Red Blend 2009 exceptional value on this old bush vine blend out of Malmesbury
Tasting
Notes
January 2011 Predominantly made up of Rhone varietals with Shiraz dominating, there’s 15% Cabernet Sauvignon added in, this is a masterpiece with its balance and poise showing a great sense of place. Seamless in texture with an assortment of spicy, darker red fruits, cherry and plum, on its medium fuller frame, the wood interplay is at a minimum giving this just a slight kiss of toast and spice to the vibrant fruit. Just now starting to show well this should be enjoyed over the next couple of years.

Juicy, displaying a core of crushed plum, blackberry and black cherry fruit held together by bittersweet cocoa and graphite notes. The fresh, racy finish then takes over. Very solid. Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Grenache and Carignan.
