87 pts Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar (JR) Saturated ruby color. Pungent smoky aromas of cherry, blackberry, grilled meat and black olive. Delivers brighter red fruits in the mouth, with a zesty mineral quality adding vivacity. The smoky note repeats on the finish, which is a touch rigid.
