A great intro into the wines of the Western Cape. A Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot, this has engaging fruit weight and ripeness which equates into riper tannins, making for a wine with a supple palate feel. A combo of red and darker red currant and plum fruit is touched up with an ever so slight touch of savory spiciness on the nose. Medium fuller bodied this has bright darker red berry fruits with a slight spice note and fruit tannins more than oak tannins. The fruit really plumps up nicely with some aeration gaining weight and roundness in the palate. This should drink well over the next couple of years. Serious value for the money.
