Light and velvety, with lovely currant and blackberry fruit gliding over refined tannins through the vivid finish. Drink now through 2013. 88 (+?) pts Stephen Tanzer Sept/Oct 2009
Bright medium red. Pungently mineral aromas of strawberry, cherry and spice, with a somewhat bound-up medicinal character. Then spicy, juicy, leanish and penetrating, even a bit youthfully reduced today. Finishes persistent but quite firm, with pepper and mineral notes dominating. This needs a year or two of patience.
