Bright medium red. Spicy black cherry aroma elevated by a floral element. Nicely concentrated if somewhat youthfully clenched, with a distinctly serious quality to the flavors of cherry, flowers and graphite minerality. Finishes with firm tannins. Give this a year or two in the cellar. 89 pts Wine Sectator 6/15/12
Austere, with a crisp note to the cranberry and pomegranate flavors. Plenty of peppery details and a pleasant forest floor earthiness mark the finish. Drink now through 2020.
