Jim Barry's 2010 Lodge Hill Riesling gives intense notes of grapefruit juice, white peach, lemon peel, kumquat and white pepper. Crisp, medium bodied and with plenty of citrus flavor layers, it gives a long pepper and spice finish. Bright straw. High-pitched aromas of lemon zest, lime, quince and white flowers. Dry, steely and precise, offering energetic citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a hint of white pepper. The firm finish offers very good cut, leaving floral and chalk notes behind. This would be a good cellar candidate.
