The 2007 ‘The Hermit Crab’ is a phenomenal follow up to the highly rated 2006, which was a Wine Spectator Top 100 selection. This has a gorgeous nose combining a floral element of jasmine and honeysuckle with stone fruit notes of peach and nectarine along with some citric cut reminding of tangerine and orange. Medium fuller bodied, this has good fruit intensity and persistence with a hint of residual sweetness to the rich flavors of stone fruit, cut with brightening acidity which gives this wine definition and length. Another knockout effort, which we feel may be better than last years effort; this should be enjoyed over the next couple of years.

Shows the aromatics of Viognier, with a drier, less silky palate, lending an exciting raw feel to the pear, apricot and spice flavors. Drink now.
