In terms of white wines from New Zealand, Chardonnay has had an identity crisis, with the exception of a few well known producers. So when we came across this little gem from Craggy Range we were impressed. It seemed to work away from heft and over manipulation and more towards elegance with a lovely, sleek textural feel and precise flavors. Think of white orchard fruits, pear, and zestier citrus, lemon/lime flavors on a medium framed body. Refined and delicious this should drink beautifully over the next couple of years.

An elegant style, deftly balanced, with refined pear and lime on a satiny frame. Lingers effortlessly. Drink now through 2014.
