Notes
7/2/10
For a wine with this type of concentration, which is quite evident visually, this isn’t an overloaded fruit bomb and offers up good structure and balance. The fruit plays along the lines of dark cherries, plums and currants, an alluring mixture of brighter red and more brooding darker tones, with some well integrated toast framing the package aromatically. Medium fuller bodied with gorgeous red and almost blue fruit flavors, this has a vibrant freshness that speaks highly of its pedigree, especially in terms of its bottle age. For the money this will impress on every level, it’s drinking beautifully right now, with excellent fruit intensity and depth, but has the structure to show well for at least 3-4 more years.
