Ca' de Calle Reserva 2009 impressive red blend out of Mendoza

This is blend of Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Merlot has just about everything this winery could throw at you and it works beautifully. There’s a lovely spice component with some floral lift to the mulled plum, boysenberry and dark raspberry notes with a slight toast note shading the fruit aromatically. Medium fuller bodied with a sleek texture and powdery tannins, there’s a core of delicious assorted red berry fruit that flows seamlessly thru the palate. This should really drink impressively over the next 2-3 years.

Plump and round, showing tasty notes of crushed plum, raspberry and toasty vanilla, laced with a nice licorice edge on the finish. Solid. Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Merlot. Drink now.
