5 Stars (*****) 2016 Platter’s South African Wine guide
Seductive 14 as complex & enigmatic as previous. Grapefruit & citrus rind, honeyed richness tempered by leesy minerality, spiced by careful partial oaking (none new). Silk textured & generous, follows profoundly expressive 13. Citrusdale Mountain grapes.

If you want to taste a great Cape Chenin Blanc, look no further than this brilliant wine from
old vines up the West Coast. The addition of a second vineyard source has boosted quantities
to 5,000 bottles (from 4,000) but the quality is as good as ever. Focused, long and chiselled
with notes of brine and oyster shell, subtle oak and wave after wave of flavour. Totally
delicious. Drink: 2015-22
