(93% carmenere and 7% cabernet sauvignon) Deep ruby. Smokier and more brooding than the Carmenere Reserva, showing dark berry and cured meat qualities and a sexy floral note. Broad, sappy blackcurrant and licorice pastille flavors become firmer with air and show a hint of cracked pepper. Tannins arrive on the firm, spicy, nicely persistent finish.
