In a only few years this producer has come out of nowhere to have positioned itself as making one of Argentina’s best value oriented Malbec. Beautiful fruit purity, combining blue and darker red fruit tones with some interesting savory nuances of spice and earth, shaded with a soft undercurrent of vanilla from the new French oak it was aged in. Sleek textured, layered and packed with lots of juicy blueberry, dark cherry fruit on the palate with riper finer grained tannins on a medium fuller-fuller frame this again is a lot of wine for the money. For those who have been following the wines from Altocedro you will again be given more than your moneys worth for the price of admission. Delicious and quite compelling this should really come together nicely over the next 12 months or so and drink beautifully for a couple of years after that. Bravo!
