2/5/07
For what ever reasons, this producer has skipped the 2005 vintage in out market and went straight into the 2006 vintage right after the noteworthy 2004. We had tremendous success with the 2004 vintage and rightly so, it was plump and juicy with great fruit weight and purity, receiving solid, justified 3rd party reviews as well. This just released 2006 version will not make anyone wonder what happened to the missing vintage as it may even surpass the 2004. Here you get lots of primary fruit, blue and black, boysenberry and blackberry as well as dark cherry. Sweet and plump with riper, finer grained tannins, this medium-fuller bodied wine is loaded with flavor and personality and is another great value on Argentine Malbec.
